A second series of temples emerged several years later. The impact of the first group caused me to retreat somewhat, so the second group was smaller in scale, but as powerful in presence. This piece has a stone-like quality, giving it an even more ancient presence. Viewers are quite surprised to learn that this piece in ceramic has such an unusual texture and finish, and one feels it quite possible to physically enter this doorway to the spirit.
